Husband: I’m back!

Wife: *keeps quiet*

Husband: What’s wrong?

Wife: Nothing’s wrong?

Husband: Why? What is it?

Wife: Aren’t we supposed to have dinner together? You didn’t inform me and you can actually pretend that nothing has happened!

Husband: Sorry, I went for a drink with my friend.

Wife: Oh, then you leave your starving wife here waiting for you.

Husband: Sorry, I’m really sorry. You should have eaten first!

Wife: So are you trying to say it’s my fault now?

Husband: No! you’re getting ridiculous!

Wife: Thanks la. You can have dinner yourself from now on. I’m not going to cook anymore.

Husband: Fine!

   Very short, sharp and to the point. Very natural dialogue while at the same time maintaining the tension – good job!
